A small carpet shop started in 1975 was purchased by Dale Thornton and his Family in 1996. The Thornton's have been expanding the business ever since and have turned this once very small store into one of the areas largest displays of carpeting, tile, hardwoods, laminates, furniture and Sleep Shop featuring Serta, iComfort by Serta, and Restonic mattresses.

When you visit the store, chances are you will be working with one of the Thornton family or even Dale himself. The Thornton's, and their associates, take pride in offering small town values along with superior small town service.

Flooring Department

Thornton's Carpet & Interiors is a full service Mohawk Color Center flooring dealer featuring all of Mohawk's fine products as well as products from other well known brands like Congoleum, Shaw, IVC, Anderson, and many others. They are well known for quality installations and employ only highly skilled workers who take pride in a job well done. Thornton's installs everything they sell or will supply the products and knowledge to do-it-yourself.

Furniture Department

Thornton's Carpet & Interiors carries a full line of quality furniture for every room in your home. They have a large selection of furniture on display, however, if you don't find what you are looking for in the store, they are happy to special order your furniture in the style, fabric, or finish of your choice. Don't forget, their small town location means a lower overhead which translates into big savings for their customers.

You can feel at ease after you make your purchase. Thornton's will deliver and setup your furniture for FREE. If anything should happen to your furniture, feel confident that Thornton's excellent repair department will take care of you... we service everything we sell.

Sleep Shop

The Sleep Shop at Thornton's has the area's largest selection of Serta, iComfort by Serta, and Restonic mattresses and is your best place to shop for "comfortable mattresses at comfortable prices. When you purchase your new furniture or mattress from Thornton's, customers that live within 50 miles of our store in St. Paris, Ohio will receive FREE delivery*. Of course we will gladly deliver outside of this zone for a very reasonable fee. See one of our friendly sales associates for details.

Our Own Trucks. Our Own Great People

Be confident that deliveries from Thornton's are made on our own trucks by our own great people. We do not work through a “delivery service” which means greater flexibility and personalized service for you! While our delivery crew is well experienced, it is still the customer’s responsibility to be sure delivery entryways are suitable to accommodate the furniture that you purchase.

Free Set-Up

Thornton's Flooring and Furniture provides FREE set-up* on purchases we deliver. Our delivery crew will place your furniture where you would like it with all furniture components in place. We do not deliver in boxes or cartons. Every item is matched to your order, inspected for damages, and carefully wrapped in moving blankets and secured on our truck for delivery.

Free Removal

We will gladly provide FREE removal* of the item you are replacing and donate it if is still in a usable condition.
